Field of Dreams in Abu Dhabi

I’ve returned from a week in Abu Dhabi. I just keep thinking about the Kevin Costner movie “Field of Dreams” Instead of ghosts of baseball past, Abu Dhabi is trying to create an international cosmopolitan city out of dust. They are spending billions of dollars to import western thought and talent.

If they build it, will you come?

The UAE feels like a poor tribe that won the lottery, took care of their family, and was wise enough to invest the rest of their windfall on creating generational wealth. I really commend them for being so open to bringing in expertise.
